Concepts and Lighting Calculation

OBJECTIVE​

The course presents the basic concepts of lighting technique in the design of lighting projects for indoor and outdoor environments and the main calculation methods: lumens method and point-to-point method.  

It aims to provide the necessary concepts for understanding the technical standards for lighting design: ABNT NBR ISO 8995-1 standard for indoor work environments and ANBT NBR 5101 for Public Lighting.

TO WHOM IT IS INTENDED

Professionals linked to the lighting area: architects, engineers, lighting designers,
product designers, interior designers and students.

CONTENTS
PROGRAMMATIC

• Lighting concepts and magnitudes;

• Photopic, mesopic and scotopic vision;

• Analysis of parameters fotografias de luminaires;

•  Light sources and auxiliary equipment;

• Standard NBR ISO CIE 8995-1: Lighting of indoor work environments;

• Standard NBR 5101: Public lighting;

• Calculation methods: lumens method and point-to-point method

• Roadmap for  application of design requirements and technical product information to understand lighting calculation methods .

Member of ASBAI, where he coordinates the Industry and Commerce Studies Commission.

CGCRE/INMETRO specialist in the scope of LED lamps and public lighting  for certification processes.

Director and consultant at EXPER Soluções Luminotécnicas.
